I thought I had better post something here, so that my friend Penny doesn’t give me a hard time! :)

coffee has been more than a 20 year journey for me. beginning with drip filter when I lived in Taiwan from 1991 onwards. from there, I moved to Siphon coffee (if only I knew how to brew it properly back then?) and then to domestic grade espresso machines. I then went out & learned how to correctly prepare an espresso coffee and purchased an ECM Veneziano A1 in order to practice my new craft.

my wife and I operated an ‘upmarket’ espresso bar for 2 1/2 years with a focus on the quality of the espresso served, the origin of  our beans (seeds) and the sustainability of the farms and welfare of the farmers that produce our beloved brew.

I am now rediscovering Siphon and am designing a Siphon heater to make brewing Siphon coffee a little more convenient - and I hope - a little faster.
